2008 was the Fifth Anniversary of the Family Fun Fest and it was a great success. Over 280,000 fans experienced the event at 52 minor league ball parks from coast to coast including 7 MLB spring Training games. Media interest was at an all time high and sponsors Principal Financial Group, Days Inn, Hasbro, Best Buy and SI Kids enjoyed increased TV, radio, print and internet coverage.
